Přileťet z Montrealu do Prahy s výstrojí a zahrát si hokej není špatná akce co myslíte, pokud jste Kanaďan.

Přesně takový nápad se zrodil v hlavě Arica Gardnera rodáka z Kanadského Montreálu, který se dozvěděl o své služební cestě do Prahy někdy koncem listopadu 2019. A jelikož se kde jinde než v baru bavil s kamarádem o cestě do Prahy a shodou okolností šlo o Justina Rudicka, který hned vystřelil, ozvi se Petrovi z Prague Hockey Masters a zahraj si hokej. 

Pár smsek a Aric přicestoval s výzbrojí a zahrál si v zápasech PHM Cupu.

První utkání sehrál v TOP divizi za Fanklub Lev Praha, kde však výrazně do zápasu nepřispěl, ačkoli měl dobré šance. Lev odešel poražen a nestačil na skvěle hrající Wolves A. I tak si Aric zápas velmi užil. 

V druhém zápase další den byl však již výraznou postavou a pomohl výrazně k výhře Ice Spiders proti Banditos. Zahrál dobrý zápas a pomohl dvěma asistencemi.

Dokonce dostal skvělý hit a splnil sem u tak sen, protože v Kanadě se v amatérském hokeji nehraje do těla a navíc ani tzv. střely golfákem nejsou povoleny. A tak pro Arica takový hit v plné rychlosti byl prostě skvělý zážitek. Takto to krásně komentoval:

We took it 6-3 it was fun, and i got checked in the open ice nicely. Bucket list! 

Yeah it was a good hip check 

Zajímavý fakt byl, že se potkat s dalším Kanaďanem na ledě, který ale hrál za Banditos. 
Scott Atteah oblékl černý dres Banditů a tak to byl vlastně takový malý Kanadský zápas. 
Atteah se ale výrazněji neprosadil a tak vzhledem i ke končnému vítězství Spiders se mohl pasovat do role oslavence Aric Gardner.

EN: Canadians meet on Prague ice

To fly from Montreal with hockey gear and play hockey in Prague it is not a bad idea if you are Canadian guy, isn't it? 

Exactly this kind of idea came up to mind of Aric Gardner, when the business trip to Prague was announced back in November. And because he obviously in the bar told his friend about this trip and the friend he told about was Justin Ruddick all was almost set. Justin said to Aric, lets contact Petr from Prague Hockey Masters and you will play a game there.

Couple of messages and all was ready to this journy full of hockey and fun. 

First match Aric played in the TOP division for Fanklub Lev Praha, where he didn't helped as much, even if he had great chances. Lev lost the game and was beaten by great guys from Wolves A. Anyway Aric enjoyed this match so much.

In match no two he played the key role. In divison Klasik he helped so much in the victory of Ice Spiders against Banditos. He played well and reached two assists. 

Also he was hit in the middle of the ice in full speed and one of his wish came true. In Canada there is not bodychecking in the amateur hockey so this was brand new experience from hockey. He commented this:

The fun fact of this match was, that he met on the ice with another Canadian who played against him in the Banditos jersey. 

Scott Atteah in black sweater and Aric in white, so it was a bit a Canadian game. Atteah didn't scored in the game so finally happier was Aric Gardner due to the victory of his team!
